About the Game - Incheon 2014 Asian Games
Emblem – Asia Soaring Hand In Hand
Embodied ‘ A (initial of Asia)’ into a human form to dynamically illustrate Asians hand -in -hand and soring with wings. Implied a messege of hope for Asians to build friendship and harmony through the 2014 Incheon Asian Games, and for people across the globe to participate in the festival.
The mascots of the Incheon 2014 Asian Games are three harbor seal siblings, whose names are Vichuon, Barame, Chumuro. Their names were derived from Korean words meaning Vichuon (빛, Light), Barame(바람, Wind) and Chumuro(춤, Dance). The Protocotype was taken from harbor seals, which inhabit in Baekryeongdo, an island in Ongjin County, Incheon. The mascots symbolize peace and harmony beyond the borders, as harbor seals can travel the sea without restrictions.
